... of beer. Fortunately, Dave had remembered that someone needed to stay sober to pick us up!

Finally we spent a few days on the waterfront near Begur about 20 km north of the Finca on the Costa Brava. This place was a small restaurant set in a cove surrounded by steep hills. It was very quiet and obviously the end of the tourist season. We spent the last few days exploring the coast by foot, bike and car. Then finally, back ...

... a sailing cruise. Depending on how smooth the ocean looks it will be a game time decision for MP. The weather has been lovely. Mostly sunny, mid seventies and a bit cool in the evening. ... information was there very short opening times. We had managed to pick the one day of the year when ALL the museums were open, but we managed to actually view none. After enough walking and a quick explore of the cathedral, we hit the shops, initially to buy a magnet. We entered in a rather artistic shop, which we later found out was owned by a lady called Helena, nice woman. A true artist who earns her living making and selling her arts, oh and a true Catalan as well. After ...

Alarm goes off, alarm goes off again, alarm doesn't go off. Oops, 10 mins before the free time expires on the car, I make a quick dash to put some money on the meter. As I approach it looks normal, it takes money but does it want to? No. As I puzzle over the confusion of the machine, a 'man sweeper', starts talking in Catalan, I respond in Spanish, luckily he responds in Spanish. After much confusion I find that actually it does like money, ...
