After this, our route took us further west for a few miles before taking us north and over the border into Andorra, the 10th country of our trip.
Although we were waved through and not stopped, there is actually a proper border crossing on this border.

... hour due to a communication mixup with our Airbnb host. The apartment is in one of the many narrow side streets branching off from Les Rambles and is on the second floor of a very old apartment block, with stairwells like a maze. It is less than salubrious, but really close to everything. ... is in the nearby settlement of Ordino, just a few kilometres up the valley. The apart-hotel is very modern and very nice, probably the best of our trip. In fact most of the hotels and apartments in Ordino are quite new and there are five big construction cranes in this small village. Not surprising as Andorra has 10m visitors a year. In the evening we wander around the village, buy some snacks and retire to the comfort of our apartment. We even have some English TV news ...
... whole way with some minor separation on the hills. We finished well within the cut off without over exerting ourselves.
At the finish, there’s an athletes village with lots of food and drink (and a merry-go-round) and now we’re back at the hotel, cleaning up and resting before we have to go up to the briefing for tomorrow.
Just hope we get some sleep tonight otherwise everything is going ...
