Andorra has more mountainous S-bends per km of road than anywhere in the world, I am sure, and we traversed most of them today! Set off slowly, after a sleep in until 8 am, and travelled west across the Pyrenees. Beautiful villages and mountainous country. Then crossed into Andorra. ... France and Spain, in the Pyrenees. Drove south to Perpignan, then west. Mountainous country and windy roads. We passed the walled UNESCO listed town of Villefranche-de-Conflent, a stop for "next time". Decided enough was enough and pulled into a camp site deep in the valley at Fontpedrouse, surrounded by mountains, and the roar of the river near by. ... down a track. While we missed the food in Spain, Andorra made for a pretty nice road trip.

School here doesn't start until September, so we have one more road trip planned this month--a trip to Galicia and the Basque country to visit our exchange student, Eider. Best part of all, Amani will be joining us!

... these kids from Condo and Holbrook. Arriving in Andorra, which is known for its skiing, we expected it be a little sleepy being off-season. There was plenty of rooms advertised at very low rates and we pictured we were staying in a quiet village looking over the mountains with a glass of red.
