After lunch and dinner at some local restaurants we were treated to a Kungfu Show. It was packed with 99.9 % foreigners but it was a great show with a lot of history on Kungfu and the Shaolin Temple. Shaolin is the birthplace of Kungfu and at one time was a guarded secret. In fact, when Bruce Lee was teaching Kungfu to foreigners, he received a lot of backlash from the Chinese ...

Today was an eventful day in Zhocun, China. We loaded our luggage on the bus for a 2 hour bus ride to Zhoucun. Zhoucun is an ancient commercial village-town. Normally it would take about 1 hour to drive here, but the traffic is so congested that the time is doubled.

Today was a big day with a lot to do and see. The kids did not have Chinese class today. Instead, they visited the Cultural Center here on Shandong University campus.

After a brief introduction to Confucius and Chinese culture, we were taken in groups to different rooms on the 24th floor. Each room had different activities that taught us more about the culture. The first station was the tea ceremony. The ...
