... but it was a good sermon based on John 3:16-17.

After I returned "home" we had breakfast, not exactly breakfast tacos, but still with bacon, eggs, and salsa. After breakfast we made another trip to Walmart for a few items. Yesterday when we were making our way back, we saw a sign for a pizza place so Bob wanted to check it out. The pizza place is called YOUR UNCLE BOB'S. Kind of sticks with you. Then ...

This morning we visited with our new friends for a brief while then we left to do some sight seeing and while we were gone, they all went home. We plan to see some of them again when they go down to Texas for the winter.

Our first stop was Amana Colonies. This place consists of 7 villages. They were founded in the 1850's and 60's by a religious group of Germans, Community of True Inspiration, who broke off from the Lutheran Church in the 1700's. They ...

    To recap.

We arrived here on Monday, got some things set up, met some neighbors and were invited to their campfire.

Tuesday we sort of stuck around here, finished sitting up and made a trip to Walmart for some groceries. Also stopped in Bed, Bath & Beyond for some Diet Lemon/Lime syrup for my Soda Stream. This way I could have skinny Sangria again. Later we met our neighbors again for the nightly campfire.

... Next day, off to visit just 2 of the villages. These were Germans escaping
religious persecution. They came in 4 ships with more following in later
years. They called the non- Germans, the "English". We had lunch at a German restaurant - beautiful place and food. We visited the micro brewery, the weaving mill, beautiful furniture and a good museum. Too much to see and do again, so back we went to the nice RV park and did the washing.

    Lazy Day

Today was a day of not much going on. First thing this morning we went grocery shopping at Walmart. Then we finished setting up our "home" for the next week. We had purchased a kit to "hook" around the awning arm to apply tension so the wind will not mess up the awning, however since our awning is so high, the rope is too short. We just hammered the really big nails we have into the ground and wrapped the lines of the drop shade around them, now if it starts to ...
