... vibe, the Hall was filled with soccer girls. Getting to know the girls and talking so much soccer was a pretty cool experience. Spending most of my time in Suzy and Julia's room (German and Swedish girls), we became very good friends already. Us freshmen were talking soccer tests for the next few days, wondering what was going to hit us, and how intense the seniors will be.
Going for a few early runs before everyone woke up definitely benefited me I ...

... the turmoil, etc. Now I clearly understand the "Little Rock 9". I didn't know the President sent the Army 101st airborne to escort those kids to class, booted the national guard out of the way basically. The school itself is still an operating school, by the way - - the visitors center & a restored gas station (where the press set up camp during the commotion) are across the street from the school.

... and a theme for coming days, lots of white wooden baptist churches.

Because of Spring Breakers traffic and Mobile we were later than we intended so decided to stay in Hattiesburg and head to Vicksburg first thing. Mmmm Hattiesburg, looked small on map, wrong, like all in America it was BIG - spreadout - no town centre - ... Ended up in a Quality Inn, eating in a Farmers Market (not what we expected) and having an early night! Hahahaha
