Drove down to Mount Rainier with Fabi's friends (Mary, Roger & Michelle) and went up to view it in a cable car. Breathtaking views of this snow-capped mountain. Ate at restaurant at 9000 feet.
Could see Mount St Helens and Mount Baker (180 miles away) from up there. Drove onto hot, dry, agricultural Yakima. Toe now really in ...

We did a sleep over in Ellensburg. We arrived early and went to visit the little city. They were having a Jazz festival so there were many people downtown. The campground was next to a fast moving river. We made dinner at The Cottage and got a good nights sleep.

We were staying at the Yakama Nation RV Park so we decided that we should check out the Indian Casino down the road. After living so close to Atlantic City and visiting Las Vegas a couple of times obviously we found it a little smaller than what we were use to but had an hour or so of fun on the slots before heading back to the RV for the night.

... trail where some of the petrified wood was on display. Some of the pieces were amazing in the clarity with which the rings and the bark pattern were still discernible. It was disappointing though - they had the big pieces of petrified wood in stone-walled enclosures with metal grates over them to protect them.
