Kittitas Valley: Hay!

Apparently, Kittitas Valley is known internationally for it's timothy hay. Grown for cattle feed as well as horse hay, the town relects its industry with quaint shop fronts, old murals and BBQ Houses.

Ellensburg is a stop on the PRCA rodeo circuit; the town bustles with people on Labour Day long weekend and the Ellensburg rodeo has been a tradition since 1923.

... crazy. It was the worst wind I've had to drive in this whole trip! I think maybe the state was saying we shouldn't have skipped Moab??

Made it to East Wenatchee at 4:30, and we all had a great home cooked dinner, and lots of fun with family.

Day 39 will be the day we make it home. Sorry it can't be 40, that would be cooler, but perhaps I'll do one more post, just to discuss our "re-entry" into life :-)

We are all checked into the camp. Lots of trees so no satellite but there is cable, no internet but there is cell service. It has gotten below freezing the last several nights so we will refill our fresh water tomorrow and use our onboard tank. Nothing like roughing it in the wild. The dogs will be on tight leashes so if they see deer or other critters we will stay attached. We will be here until early Saturday so we can avoid Seattle traffic. More ...
