... need to get an alarm system and then worry about it long distance. The Venetian Falls place. Beautiful inside, much newer than the other places we looked at, being sold furnished, lovely grounds, across the street from a beautiful club house and pool. Lots of activities, very low HOA fees BUT there is nothing special about it - no view except plants out the back. No Florida feel other than it would be warm and sunny. "If you need anything off island you have to go very early in the morning or after dark." " if you want to go out to eat you need to do it during the week or very early or late at night". ... over to the pier. We walked the length of the pier (in the rain). I imagine it to be a very lovely spot on a sunny day. The next stop was Siesta Beach. Same deal here, more rain. We walked a bit on the beach. This beach has been named # 1 in the country in the past and I can see why. The final stop on the keys was Lido Beach. Another pretty spot, we were able to walk a bit ...

... Everglades - fantastic scenery. Fall colors with palm trees contrast to bad it was raining so hard no pictures. Definitely have to go back. Then we went through an area with panthers. Unbelievable road signs to watch for panthers crossing for several miles. Again in the pouring rain. Never saw signage like that before. No kidding for ...
