... smelly, and just pain gross. Not to be racist but I think we were the only white folks there. We boarded the bus at 6.45 and took off for Memphis, with a stop in Jackson on the way, and before you ask yes I did hum Jackson by Johnny and June Carter Cash. Jackson is old, dirty and just looks like a place from the movies. The houses are all lined up with front porches and swings or a seat out front. They have a lot of old stuff lying around their yards and a lot of homes ...

Made it to the next place and managed to go through and chat with the Program Director, the next place the woman on reception was pretty snooty - but at least I did it. It was great to know that we FINALLY had lots of clean clothes. Barrett was ...

... along the way. Who knows what will happen?

Fun facts about the Camino, in case you don't know much about it and haven't Googled it yet: It's an ancient pilgrimage to the relics of the apostle James, which have been in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela since the 800s. Last year, over 215,000 people reached the cathedral at the end of the El Camino (this doesn't necessarily mean they hiked any certain amount). At the cathedral at the ...

... inside and a bunch of crazy fans were crowded around outside waiting for a glimpse of the cast... Saturday night brought our much anticipated pilgrimage to the Grand Ole Opry for a live radio show. We saw about fifteen acts making a great show. This is quite an experience that shouldn't be missed. (And this coming from someone who isn't really country music ...
