The Chinese boarder patrol would not let me leave the airport to go exploring because my flight to Berlin was 7 hours away. If it had been 8 hours they would have let me through customs! ... 9am. Went out and had breakfast at a roadside stall. Pretty good food, had porridge, buns and rice wrappings with meat and veg - all steaming hot and all for about C$3 between the both of us!
