... excited to show us round, but they grudgingly let us have 15 minutes to grab a shower and get changed (we had been wearing our travelling clothes for close on 26 hours). ... would be easy to find - well, the metro was easy to use because it was in pinyin as well as Mandarin, but once I emerged from the underground I had no idea! Wandered around for a while, down some lovely little streets with trees on either side almost forming a tunnel - I would see a lot of these here. The shops were selling very ornate things, like Buddhas, fans, and wall hangings. I didn't mind that I couldn't find the temple at that moment, it was nice just exploring ...
