    ... down was way quicker, but really ******* the knees and calf muscles. I was too scared to stop, in case I couldn't start again!

    It felt so good to be back in bush, with clean water, not too many people (thanks to it be mid-week and not a holiday time), and we all really enjoyed a well-earned lunch when we arrived back down.

    Needless to say, the bus ride back was silent, with most people falling asleep pretty quickly.

    I NEED to get away....

    ... in a prayer corner while I sit next to a sweet little elderly Chinese couple with impeccable English (for some reason, there are far more people who speak English in Southern China and they speak it very well!)

    The flight is 6 hours long. So we should be there soon! :) I can’t wait to get away!

    Strange title, right? We will get to that in awhile. Today we had a free day to do whatever we wanted. After breakfast, we decided to go exploring on Shamian Island, as this is where we stayed when we traveled to Guangzhou the last time when we got Elizabeth.
