... as long as the kindergarten owner has good relations with them, all will be well. In China, the only way to be successful is to have good relations with the police and city leaders.

I first visited this kindergarten about three weeks ago with Andrew, the guy from Singapore who is now finding me work; I guess we could call him an agent. Three weeks ago the building was just a shell; with no flooring, no walls painted and a lot of work to ...

... but how was it before? What troubles me however, is the general ugliness of the entire vista, and I wonder what it will be like in another sixty years.

I was complaining, in a nice sort of way, to my Chinese friend that I didn't have enough work but that I had recently been given six hours teaching to some teachers for 200 yuan an hour (20). However, I didn’t have enough regular (lower paid) work. Cathy is a government worker, a prized job because it is a very secure and there is a pension. She then told me she earns 100 yuan a day! She also told me ...

    A man's problem and football

... pee but slowly. It was clear that things down in the plumbing department were not well. Back in bed I couldn’t sleep. The implications of needing treatment were not insignificant. Would I have to go back to the UK? What would happen to the classes I am taking and the money the students have already paid up front for three months? And then there are even darker thoughts about the affects of the prostate cancer operation and a man’s ability to do what he desires. And ...
