Comme un peu si tu sortais avec une fille de 18 ans et qu'elle a soudainement 16 ans quand la police ...

LEAVING THE TRAIN

... Regency - no, not where we were going to stay, just to ask for directions to the Canaan Hotel, it was just out back. We checked in and went to our room, not the Hyatt, but it was clean and it did have a computer in the room for us to use! We booked a tour for the Terra-Cotta Warriors with the front desk, I kept asking for a cheaper ticket and each time he came down in price so we were happy in the end. We went out to find something to eat. We knew McDonald's were in the ...

Around The Ancient Xian Walls In Eighty Ways

... arrived at the Eastern Wall unscathed and with the day's virginity intact and headed back outside the walls. I slowly made my way walking south and by the time I reached the South Gate (three quarters into my walk) the sun slowly began making its way beneath the great quilt in the sky. The south western section of the wall seemed to be the most popular section ...

Terra Cotta Warriors

... Our companions on the tour were three couples from three other countries-Italy, Lithuania, and Canada. After lunch, it was finally time to see the warriors. We made our way to the first excavation pit, which is also the largest. Although 1700 warriors have been uncovered in it, there are believed to be over 6000 in that pit alone. The life size warriors were created to guard the tomb of the Emperor. Each is unique, and each had been hand-painted in ...

Terracota Pottery at its best

... The same can be said for when we rented bikes and rode along the outer perimeter of Xi'an ancient city wall. Good fun though. Highlights for me: - Playing with the Hostel's resident puppy Bobbie - Doing my very own South African graffiti on the ceiling. Note.....I would recommend to other travelers that its better off doing the Warriors on your own, its more rewarding and you dont feel as if you're getting ripped off.

Xian and the Terrecota Warriors

... emperor, in his gold coffin, were incredible. There was everything to make his life comfortable, including things like clothes, eating utensils etc. When he died the tomb was not finished. He had reigned for 37 years, but the tomb took 40 to complete. @He was buried in his gold coffin, all the slaves that had built the tomb were killed and thrown into a pit on one side of the tomb. The second emperor killed all the concubines who had not delivered ...

Bell Towers Markets Dumplings and a Family

... had a huge family dinner. Oh so much to eat. My favourite food so far in China is the little steamed dumplings called Joutsa. They are awesome! You buy them by the little bamboo tray full. I didn't get here till late last night so we didn't begin our family adventures until this morning. They are all so cool. Not much English can be ...
