... by the cablecar. It was amazing. When we arrived we decided on the route and started walking. While walking it started to get warmer and at some point the sun was shining and we could see a lot. We walked and climbed up and took many pictures. At some point we split up, as the German guys would stay at the mountains for the night and had to look for a hotel and we (the French couple and me) had to go back. We ...

It's been a while, I've been back to Japan for one week, stayed in Hong Kong for another week and now I'm in China! In Huangshan, famous for its Yellow Mountains, where I will go to as soon as I have my first day off. Same as in Busan and Kibichuo(Okayama) I'm doing volunteerwork here as well. I got my passport back last week and finally went on an excursion outside of Qingdao! Rather than going on a quick getaway I decided to take a 23 hour sleeper train down to Huangshan Shi in Anhui province. I met my friend Ollie who's studying in Tianjin down there. Anhui had loadsa bamboo, a mystical mountain and a couple of ancient villages to explore. It was great but very wet.
    Our first day there ...

It's not too early a start to the day which is great and as I get ready for the tour I find out that that I won't be the only non Chinese person on it which is different. I meet a guy called Gilles from Amsterdam and a lady called Aofie from Ireland. We're all very excited especially the other two as they've been stuck in the town for 2 days waiting for the weather to clear so that they could hike ...

... to an English breakfast, mmm first time in what seems like months, just what I needed on a wet and rainy day. I spend an hour in the reception area eating and chatting to the other people before I finish packing and head out to the bus that will take me to the main long distance bus station. The English guy, who I find out is called Tom, kindly lends me his umbrella and walks me to the bus stop, which is funny as he starts telling me stories about his Korean ...
