Sorry for the long delay. This will be a long post as there is a lot to cover. Was too tired on the mountain to post anything. Took the overnight train to Haungshan from Beijing. For some unknown reason I decided to save $10 by opting for a "hard seat" ticket rather than a sleeper ticket with a bed. We enjoyed our 2 minute noodles for dinner (brought up from Tongkou) as meals on the mountain are very expensive as well.

... That was a lot of fun and it sure beat having to walk down to the exit.


Next we stopped off at a ‘Tea Shop - Tea of Zhikeng’ to sample some regional tea. My favourite was one which started off bitter, then became very sweet in the mouth. That was very unusual.
