Deng's homestead is one of the mandatory stops on the "Red Tourism"-route in China, a route mostely travelled by Chinese.
The entire area around the house where he grew up has been converted into a park, where Chinese dignitaries come to plant trees.
There are three sights in the park, the bronze statue of Deng, his house and the quite large museum.

But the real fun started in the evening, where I, the only foreigner among 100 Chinese entrepreneurs, was sitting at the head table with the local approximations of God...not bad for an intern eh?
Much eating didn't happen though as we walked around to give or receive toasts.
But I gotta get to bed know tomorrow the meetings start:o)

We then headed back to the bus station and headed for Mt Emei, a famous Buddist mountain. We stayed in the Teddy Bear hotel which was quite nice and wandered around for a bit before heading to bed.
