The river just churned and roared through the narrow gap in the gorge. There is a big statue of a tiger at the bottom as well. If you think the steps are too much you can get carried up (or down) on a chair by a couple of porters.

What an amazing drive in! The road up the gorge was narrow in places and there were rockfalls here and there. There were no barriers at the edge of the road for most of the way, just a white line on the edge and a shear drop. Of course, being right hand drive in China we were on the outside all the way.
