Moloveien 14 Bodø, Nordland, North Norway, Norway, 8003, 7553-1900
... a Mosquito, a U2 spy plane hanging from the ceiling and a vivid history of Norsk aviation feats. It was pelting rain when the Nordkapp docked but a bus promptly transported one to the facility since it is more than a good walk. At least two other souls decided to pop along although I'm not certain what language they spoke. By facial expressions it was obvious that they were just as pleased with their choice. The bus came by and ...

Bodø, North Norway, Norway sinilintu... from near London (our table seated 4) before the staff realised that they needed to open the entire dining area to provide more space. They couple stayed with us throughout lunch, providing entertaining and interesting British conversation. It was revealed that they were engaging in the full 2 week cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes (near Russian border) and return. They told us stories of their home (most recently London being snowed in) and also made very British comments about the food ...
Bodø, North Norway, Norway v1213... who kindly spoke English and were happy to get to know us. We also went to a "football match" and cheered for the home team with the official supporters club, and our team won! The week before classes started there was a bus tour around the area for international students (there are about 100 of us in all, I believe, included exchange students and students who are doing their masters degrees here). We saw a lot of beautiful scenery, stopped at a beach and at the world ...
Bodø, Norway sanny... some people went canoeing in the fjord, others went Kyaking... I went fishing! Only four of us could go and I got to because I didnt do anything else. It was amazing. Although, I did not actually fish persay, I did help allison bring up the one fish that was caught! It was so much fun... and beautiful... and COLD! We had to wear those bright red fishing suits, we looked so funny! But it was fun... It was also Joe's birthday ...
Bodø, Norway julieflickner39/14 ANYWAY, the party lasted all night, with a short one hour pause at about 5am for sleep, and then a 6am wake up call for a dreadful ferry ride of doom. When I say ferry ride, I'm talking more like a big speed boat, which when let loose on the open seas did a number on a few kids stomachs, and at least 6 of our group threw up! I felt so bad for them. It was so bad for Kyle and Blair that ...
Bodø, Norway korvette923... look at but the scenery was to die for. I was in heaven. Our bus driver was still in a hurry so we were forced at times to literally run to the bus which was lame. I think though that even though we didn't spend much time at either location it almost made me love the locations more because I didn't have time to get bored of either. The bus dropped us off for good at the grocery store where we proceeded to stock up on beer and chips ...
Bodø, Norway korvette923... within thirty yards of the North Cape monument, a thirty-foot tall steel globe on a stepped concrete base. We got to the steel fence and got hit by strong gusts. Amy and the older kids kept going, while I chased Alec, who was blown off his feet and in danger of taking flight. I got a nice picture of Amy and the two older kids hanging onto the monument before we were driven back by wind-hurled sand and small pebbles driving ...
Nordkapp, Norway oneyearaway... party itself at the university bar. The Norwegian students were all really friendly and spoke fluent English so we had a great time. After the party the 'norspiel' or after party at CK's friends' house was a sort of winding down session (with more drinking of course). It was a great week and we had plenty of time to drink, play cards and quote Father Ted. When we headed down to Oslo on the penultimate day CK came with us to visit the capital.
