        ... an hour, and by the time we got to the end, I wanted to visit a toilet. As Nick was parking the car, I dashed off, following the signs to necessary facilities. As I have previously mentioned, I should know better than to try to nip off anywhere. I soon had the entire family running at full pelt after me, trying to keep up.

        ... into a 20-25kt head-wind....
        If it wasn't for the fact that he was determined to ride to end of the island, and I, being just as stubborn wouldn't say die, even if I thought I was going to....but let's just say that riding a bike of any sort along a path of river-stones into a strong head-wind, is teeth-rattling, bone-jarring, and damned difficult and hard work, and I ended up with a "saw rarse", and legs turned to jelly...
        But...we made it, and the trip ...

        ... life have I ever thought coffee was hard to
        get but here today I had to travel over 50 miles or so before I managed to find
        anywhere open.
        Along the way there were loads of signs saying "restaurant 1km" but not a
