On our way out of the city we called in on the Porsche museum. Although not on the scale of the Mercedes museum, it was still interesting and well worth seeing. Because we knew time would be short, we only spent 2 hours here then made our way to Rothenburg. Arrived at the Mercedes Benz museum on the outskirts of Stuttgart at 11am and there were heaps of people there. Must say it is a very impressive place and so much to take in. We did 2 hours, had a quick lunch then another 2 hours. It was about 3:15 when we left and felt quite jaded, but found it so interesting. ... we arrived
back from our evening stroll we had someone pitched up at our vans
door – great!




We decided we would only stay the night, get up early and visit the Porsche Museum
then move on, unfortunately we didn't get into the town so can't say
if it was nice or not – a campsite can make or break a stay...



We left site the next day at 8:45 and headed to the museum, it is an absolutely
stunning ...

The inside of the place still had remnants of the original bank, for instance the bathrooms were built inside where the old safe was and you had to go through the big safe door to get to them. They also had a big cage with small lockable compartments available for rent for patrons that wanted to keep their favorite beer mug there to use. While we were there Hanno signed up for one for EU20 a year. ...
