Wow what a temple !

I loved the Shree Menakshee temple with it's huge colorful super-hero characters adorning the gates. I bought some beautiful clothes at the tailors inside the temple ! On the way to Munnar we stopped to let our driver pick up some clothes and we saw his lovely neighborhood.

... zum gandhi museum gingen - kann man sich ansehen - noch dazu ist es gratis.
abends waren wir auf einer dachterrasse essen - super sicht zum tempel und ueber die stadt. die beiden jungs gingen dann ins bett und heli in eine bar. dort lernte ich einen 42-jaehrigen franzoesischen kuenstler kennen. um 11 war aber bereits schluss und wir erstanden noch ein take away bier und gingen auf sein hotelzimmer. er hat mir dann etwas von seinen jobs erzaehlt. ...

... evening to put the Gods to bed. It was quite bizarre. The 'monks' carried 2 figure of Krishnu and Shiva in a sort of box thing, while they sing lullabies and an oboe type instrument is played. They take the Gods to the main temple (only Hindus allowed in) and carry out some sort of ceremony with flowers and water all the while fanning the box. One lovely monk kept ushering us to where he thought we could see better but we felt rather intrusive for the whole thing ...

... Boarding planes is completely different here. Indian airports don't use those bridges that connect directly onto a plane's cabin. Instead, planes park out in the tarmac, and buses take you right up to the plane. It's pretty cool, but I always wondered what happened when it rained - and during the Monsoon here, it can really pour. I got the chance to experience it yesterday when flying from Bangalore to Hyderabad. You just run!

... narvany. Cim vic sedis vepredu, tim vic platis Asi za to, ze ses v tej stanici driv nez ty vostatni. Dalsi zajimavosti sem si sim po ceste. Indici vybudovali tu severojizni zeleznici dvoukolejnou. Aby ten trafik urychlili. Postavili novou lajnu jednech koleji, udelali nadjezdy a podjezdy, zkratka moderne. Ale jako druhou kolej pouzivaj tu starou, anglickou, se srankama... Asi zapomeli, ze ten vlak preci jenom nemuze ject jako auto po silnici. Este sem tu nevidel technologickej institut ...
