... savouries and lollies with some who I won't mention caught with their hand in the lolly jars. The wedding party went through their rehearsals and then we all shared dinner prepared by the Sawmill. The bride to be had wished all week for a sprinkle of snow for great photo shots - she got her wish, we woke to snow covered ground, cars, buildings and everything else that was outside..the temperature was going ...

... their boingy-ness. This meant the case was no longer in tension and pinching my map book between the top and bottom cases, and it was....................gone.

I loved that map book, it had each state and province in large detail which included all the roads right down to gravel ones. The map book had allowed me on numerous bike trips dating back to the mid 2000's to navigate across 'Merica off the beaten path. This current trip had seen it completely ...

... home around 5:00 p.m. It is a good feeling and I do look forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. We have had a great vacation, travelling 3390 kilometers. We have seen a lot of interesting things and we know without doubt that we absolutely have to go back to the Okanagan again to see the many things we just could not get to this time. ... in the entire province get shipped here, and there are some doozies.

Albertosauri (tyranids ... no, Mike, not the 40k ones, just related to the T Rex et alii), Raptors, Ankylosauri, Duck Billed, Ceratopsians and much more, all well displayed, and with excellent recreations of them in skeletal and 'real life' form.

Apart from that, the drive was boring ...

... with new money, languages, customs and food really makes the brain work
- it can take weeks of planning when you take a family of 5 to 5 countries
- it will cost more than you think but travel always does and it's worth it.
- they love to wear nylons and socks with flip flops - huge market for toe socks here!
- always have some extra $ saved for something you forget about like a visa
- bartering is a necessary skill
- read as much as you can before you go ...
