... many cousins etc together. Consequently we had a fabulous afternoon at Dorothy's , with cousins Dorothy, Sue and Bob, Lesley and Jennifer. Some of their children, Andrea,Jonathon and Glyn and Dorothy's grandchild Rowan. Obviously Andrea met all of them for the first time and felt very welcomed into the family. ... all take a turn at Captaining the team and taking full responsibility for the game. The keepers have all had a session with a specialist wicket keeper over here, Jack had a session on Monday and got a lot out of it, it's very different keeping on turf than it is on synthetic at home so they are learning some great new skills.

... after driving around the one-way system in Sunderland for an hour trying various different money machines we discovered only the Bank of Scotland would! Good old Scotland:-) Meeting some of Craig's cousins tomorrow so really looking forward to that. Happy Birthday to Mary, whom we managed to ring last night (on her birthday morning). We think often of family at home and much as we are loving this trip, we look forward to seeing you all ...

... find our new digs, The Honest Lawyer motel and checked in. It's fine, not flashy but it will do for 2 nights before we head up to Scotland. The game was at Barnard Castle today so we headed over there, a really beautiful town with the ruins of a castle set up on the hill and the river running through the town, so pretty. The boys had another easy win, it was a 35 over match, we made 186 and had them all out for about 120ish, ...

Day 6 - Market day then off to Durham

... my Dad but he couldn't remember where the plot was. This time I have some plot coordinates so I am expecting to succeed.
30 minute drive south east of Durham to Hartlepool through some magnificent green rolling country. We arrived at the cemetery and with the plot coordinates we spent the next 90 minutes trying to find Maggie's grave. No headstone made it really tough but I reckon I have located the plot.
It's getting late so time to head back to Durham for ...
