Everything about the Cliff Side Suites was perfect. The views are AMAZING!! All of the suites look directly out at the Aegean sea and great views of the Santorni coastline, including views of incoming cruise ships. The accommodations are perfect and comfortable, including small indoor and outdoor seating and a small kitchenette. The hotel is quite; however, we were there before the tourist season got into full swing. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. Above all the staff is friendly and accommodating; providing recommendations and helping make arrangements for our group.

... and ended it with a nice cool beer and a passionfruit mojito for Lisa. I got a very cold beer photo, with me in the water with the beer. As of now it's been a great way to try take a cool photo every day. Great challenge Gaz. Afterwards we settled the bill and headed home. We had a quick shower and then enjoyed a nice easy drinking bottle of Rose next to the pool. Bed time was soon after. Sad face. Last day on ...

... a lot smaller and shopping is limited. But we walked around town all evening, stopping for a delicious brownie crêpe to share. We took the taxi back to our resort and parted our ways for bed. I had a shower before I went to sleep and I'll never forget the grossness of the bathrooms. Apparently soap isn't a thing in Ios! Air conditioning is five euros a day, so we decided not to get it. Luckily our place cooled off at night and getting into bed was ...

... narrow lanes between the buildings and the towns and wandering these taking in the dramatic views is a major past time for visitors. In the middle of the caldera (center part of the volcano which caved in under its weight when it did its big eruption) there are some island bits that have hot water beach and some venting still going on. The cliffs rise up to 1,000 ft above sea level and display volcanic colours of red, black and browns adding to the visual ...

... which proved to be very entertaining as we dodged on coming traffic and donkeys. Our last stop was the ancient site of akrotiri which was actually really cool. A whole ancient site inside a building, it was awesome because all the things had been preserved well so you could actually see the stuff they used from 3500 years ago rather than looking at crumbled ruins which is what I was accustomed to. After debating where to eat for about 2 hours, we finished ...

Ω Be prepared – Dramamine tablets, Dramamine patches, and seasickness wrist bands - focus your eyes on the horizon.

The seas were rough. The Sea Party lurched and dipped as we sailed. At one point the spray soaked us. From time to time Giannis would put the boat on auto pilot to go below to ...
