Everything about the Cliff Side Suites was perfect. The views are AMAZING!! All of the suites look directly out at the Aegean sea and great views of the Santorni coastline, including views of incoming cruise ships. The accommodations are perfect and comfortable, including small indoor and outdoor seating and a small kitchenette. The hotel is quite; however, we were there before the tourist season got into full swing. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. Above all the staff is friendly and accommodating; providing recommendations and helping make arrangements for our group.

... started this day and most of the locals were picking olives from the 300-400 year old olive trees. The next day we decided to keep the car for another day since the cost of the rental car was only 25 Euro per day and go relax at one of the beaches in the southwest section of the island. We ended up at a remote beach called Pyrgaki and we had the whole beach to ourselves as all the resorts were closed for the season. The ...

... went through the town starting at 2pm and all the shops and stores were closed. We soon found out that the businesses close from 2pm to 6pm and it was best to do any shopping in the morning. We explored Naoussa's small port, a ruin of a Venetian Castle at the end of the breakwater and the narrow alleys/paths within the city. There were numerous artsy craft stores and funky cafes that attracted our attention, but all were closed for the season. This is one of ...

... but with the wind stronger than the day before and the sky looking rather bleak we were not too fussed. The fact that we had seen little of the island didn't overly play on our minds as we had used the time to relax and plan the next month of our trip in addition I think that we were a bit depleted when it came to caring about ruins, churches and temples.
So it was off to the port where the real Greek adventure began.

... oils were burning throughout. A further 3 reception staff stood lined up to greet us as a housekeeping staff member handed us hot towels with tongs to freshen up. Then iced water. We were then shown through the property by the owner Despina. This woman's attention to detail is extraordinary. First we were shown the infinity pool with the most incredible view I have ever seen in my life. We sit overlooking a volcano on the top of a ...

We got to our room and it was lit with candles, as was the patio, a warm pastry and wine was waiting, and on the bed was beautiful towel art - two swans made into a love heart and a gift from the hotel. The fridge and counter are filled with things for a 'quick' breakfast in the morning. I will be sad to leave, particularly as our transport is 5:30 tomorrow to the ...
