... 0830 hrs and our local guide was running late. Finally she arrived all flustered and full of conversation. She was a Pom who has lived here for years with her father, all dressed black with a Marlene Deitrich type fitted hat and a face so full of rouge she looked like a red indian! We were staying on the Eastern side of Berlin which was full of the very ornate old buildings and a whole lot of Scaffolding.. We stopped for photos at the ...

... is the first time in 10 years I haven't set off the scanners so it made me wonder if they were even working !!
We make our way to our departure gate to find people queuing already and off we go again. Eventually we get to the door outside and walk over to our plane, Ryan Air flight FR2337 with its 14:50 local time departure. It was quite strange here emphasising something we had sort of noticed earlier. Even when the roads were obviously clear nobody would cross until the little green man started flashing. We got a few dirty looks earlier but now were following suit. Apparently jay walking is quite a serious offence here carrying a hefty fine and ...

... majority have no voice ?
A friendly beer turns into two and then a few large vodka shots start appearing and a quiet beer turns nasty. I am too old for this sort of thing but haven't even given a thought to what I am going to feel like in the morning. The bar is silly cheap and this doesn't help matters at all. Game results in a dull 0v0 and was generally two poor teams playing badly. We make a retreat about 23:30 and bumble our way back to the hotel which looks most welcoming. ...

Arrived in Poznan-easy leg of tour-only 3 hours from Berlin. Playing amazing heritage listed venue above vegan cafe-lasagne for lunch/dinner-so fulfilling. Walked into surreal double bass and dance performance. Except I thought the dancer was an old drunkard who was annoying the musician. Nope he was part of the act. seriously amazing venue. 1930s cinema. Needed a bunch more people to soak ...
