We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... notice and that was only because I couldn’t get the van into gear and we started to slowly roll back down the hill I had parked on! Thankfully the huge amount of money we paid for European road side cover served a purpose and thanks to a lovely Greek receptionist, Penelope was picked up within the hour and we were shacked up in the four star hotel that we broke down outside of for three nights. As for the festival, we found it and to be completely honest ...

    Syvota For its Excellent Beaches

I found out about Syvota after a documentary on T.V last year and I was so impressed. Syvota was mainly the actual reason of this trip, but since we are not coming privately but along with a group of 48 other people the agent told us that it was impossible to book a hotel for the group in this high season.

So much beauty in such a small ...
