... Americans to walk along the path further and they would be rewarded. We followed this couple and came to some gardens. We paid 1 e each to go in (kids were free) and it was well worth it. The views were wonderful of the small islands off the coast and the boats in the harbour. We spent a bit of time there taking lots of photos and chilling out in the shade. Walked back to Capri and decided to walk back down to Marina piccolo for the boat trip back. On ...

Today we went to a place that is from 79AD but first we had to take a train from Napoli to Pompeii. So stuff that are from Bible times. At the end of the day, I find the nearest train station, ride back to Napoli, walk to the hostel, check Google Maps to see how far I went, set out my shoes ...

... next stop was Amalfi, a pretty town with a distinctive bell tower and the Duomo, with its 13-century fašade. Located on the Bay of Salerno, it was a maritime powerhouse centuries ago. There were restaurants and shops everywhere. Limoncello, Italy’s famous lemon liqueur was available in abundance. I bought a bag of lemon-shaped soaps that smell divine.

Onward to Ravello, the southernmost ...

Early in the morning we sped away in a Mercedes Benz minivan heading south towards Napoli. We drove and drove and drove until we reached Napoli and the exit for Pompeii. Our driver took us to the area where we met our tour guide for the Pompeii excavation site. Our guide was wonderful; She took us to the back entrance/exit to avoid the queue and the hoards of tour groups. Through the gates of Pompeii we entered the exercise yard and areas where the gladiators were housed. This entire ...
