... our room lol Yay sleep in and another great day in Amalfi town. This place is one of my favorites. After a beautiful buffet Breaky we head out to take the open top bus and go to Ravallo for a look. The windy roads really are something else and the bus drivers .., well they should get medals for their navigation skills. The scenery is spectacular and the history is so interesting. We arrived at Ravallo. The turn is buzzing and it is Sunday and the local church is ...

At the end of the day, I find the nearest train station, ride back to Napoli, walk to the hostel, check Google Maps to see how far I went, set out my shoes ...

Early in the morning we sped away in a Mercedes Benz minivan heading south towards Napoli. We drove and drove and drove until we reached Napoli and the exit for Pompeii. Our driver took us to the area where we met our tour guide for the Pompeii excavation site. Our guide was wonderful; She took us to the back entrance/exit to avoid the queue and the hoards of tour groups. Through the gates of Pompeii we entered the exercise yard and areas where the gladiators were housed. This entire ...

... as well, otherwise apart from the sheer size of the site, it would be no different from the other Roman ruins we have seen.

Unfortunately the weather packed up at about 4pm but we weren’t done exploring so opted to get wet rather than miss what we came to see. Fortunately the downpour was short lived and we had enough time to dry off before getting back to the hostel.

    The girls ...
