... learn that flamingos aren't really pink but grayish-white. The birds change color from feeding in the salt pans. As you drive south on the island past the dive sites you can see a series of ponds, some brown, some green, others coral red depending on their levels of algae and bacteria. The rosier colors reflect higher levels of saline.

... into south Miami, it was quite a nice reprieve from the noise and hustle and bustle of spring breakers.

We had hoped to attend the tennis, but unfortunately, both matches were cancelled. Despite this, Stacey, Rob and I had quite a fun day.

Stacey left mid way through our week in Miami, which we were very sad about. About the same time the spring breakers went home and the festival finished.

... although we felt very under dressed. On the way back we tried to be more efficient but it still took us nearly 4 hours with one short break. So now we have done enough exercising for the whole week! By the time we got back to the hostel we were ready to pass out so we had some dinner, got some necessities from the store across the street and now we're going to bed.
