... such kind and decent people. We got to park in the new parking garage at
Downtown Disney and managed to beat the usual Saturday crowds and make our way
into the garage before the masses filled it up.
It was a gorgeous day. The
temperatures were cool and it was sunny. Just perfect for our lunch outside on the
patio at Splitsville.
We decided to head to Magic Kingdom for the rest ...
... bus return but you have to pick the times the night before, you can call up 2 hours in advance if you want to come home earlier or later, the first day we just book to return at 8:30 , It took about 30 minutes to get to the first stop, it's a carp park where the bus , monorail or boat can take you to magic kingdom, we got on the bus we were the first people on, it took about 3 minutes to get there, we new it was going to be crazy as soon as we hopped off the bus with family's ...
... and Epcot are $100 entry but then everything you do is designed to suck more money from your pocket. One example is there are no Disney characters on the streets, kids have to line up and then pay to have their photo taken with a Disney character - Really!! Poor Walt Disney must be spinning in his grave at this injustice. At Epcot it is $6-8 dollars for a tiny serve of the food from the country food stand you are visiting. The servers are not even from that ...
... Jase was the loser in the sleeping stakes this time - oh well I was designated driver so I needed my rest. Fake 'soccer mom' car waiting for us at the airport. I wasn't as scared as the last time but driving on the right hand side of the road still feels sooo wrong. Maccas brekky & the girl mucked up our order (must've been my strange accent?!) & we were given bacon & scrambled ...
... the block to find a restaurant. Deciding we wanted to "do America" without visitingf chains like McDs or Dennys, the first independant restaurant was a traditional German one (huh ??). So we parked ourselves down for our first American meal of Wiener Schnitzel with a stein of beer!!
Started to plan the next 2 weeks!
