We all found our little bit of couch our chair and proceeded to either sleep or read or both as the crossing takes about 3 hours. Talk about ...

Up waaaayy to early to catch the ferry to Rhodes. It's huge. Semi's driving in and pulling trailers off. About 8 of them and most of them went back 2 or 3 times. Sitting at the back of the ferry watching Kos and Turkey disappear. Very bumpy. It's almost like we can feel the engine vibrations.

Lindos village is a well preserved 14th century buildings and mansions, known as captains houses, situated on ...

Dad and I played a lot of Tennis. We wanted to visit Lindos beach, but there was so many people there we couldn't even park the car. Instead we just stopped and looked at the Acropolis that overlooks the village.
We visited Butterfly Valley (or Petaloudes). We ...

... nice if the local flare was more prominent. Mainly, the island is known for having one of the seven wonders of the ancient world; the Colossus of Rhodes. Popular culture portrays a massive statue straddling the bay. In actuality the statue stood at attention forty meters over the center of town. An earthquake toppled the Colossus long ago and nothing remains today. It was still fun to imagine our ship entering the bay as a giant kept a close watch on ...
