I now had to keep up with two donkeys who run up this mountain a hundred times a day, between the gradient, the rocky path way, the donkey droppings that coated the path and weight of the night before I was was buggered trying to keep up. Kids on the other hand were full of encouragement - "Dad this is soo cool, did you see the view? Dad, Dad, keep up!"

... Towards the end of our stay on Rhodes, we took a 55km bus trip to Lindos, which is about half way down the east coast of the island. It's famous for its ruins and its beaches. We could have taken the donkey up the mountain but one whiff of the donkey poo in the 35 degree heat put paid to that! We admired the ruins from afar that day and instead headed to the local's beach to swim in the clear water and for Andrew to do bombies off the rocks!
