- a belief that they are the fires that lit the first Olympic torch - after all, Mount Olympos is just up the road (The Greeks dispute that one)
- to the scientific explanation of gases escaping from metamorphic rock.
Whichever way you look at it, the fact that the fires have burnt for eons is "magic" and we're lucky to have seen it before the gas runs out.

... is a set of small bungalows, each with a porch, two hammocks, tiny living room, bed and bath. What? I mean WHAT?!? The structures were far enough apart to feel private. Fruit trees, ferns,palm trees, flowers, and tree houses made this a paradise. Why the heck did I only book two nights?! The dining area is open air, with plants, lanterns, and jazz playing all day.
