We toured the ruins, I stuck my toe into the Med, and then retreated back for a little siesta. We had a time change last night, and kinda screwed my clock up.

We plan on staying here 2 nights, then on to Kas.

Calvin and Umut and our deck hand were getting down! I've noticed Turkish men dance in two major styles to their pop music. One is hands raised high above the head, moving with the music side to side with the hands not completely motionless, but always up. The other is just the opposite, hands always down at the side. The movement of hands up and down we might see in American dancing isn't really there.

... having a swim. To get to the beach from the campsite you had to walk through the ancient ruins of Olympos. The ruins were situated in thick pine forest and were scattered over a large area. There were remnants of a whole city however it was in bad condition due to an earthquake hundreds of years ago. They are still trying to uncover the history behind the city as they dont know much about its origins. They dont seem to care ...

... about 5.5 knots but on this trip we were travelling nearer to 7.5 knots and at one stage touched 8.5!! (Those who sail will understand the scale of these things!) We are currently anchored outside Kemer marina waiting to be called in for a mooring space. The next three days will see some official dinners so I will have to break out my jacket and tie. Next stop: Olympos, further along the Mediterranean coast. The bus was a smaller version of what we had taken thus far and it was hot and stuffy. (Don't think it's hot enough for Turks to feel they need the air con, but we Canadians were suffering!) It was definitely the "milk route" as we stopped frequently to take on/let off passengers. There was standing room only for the first part of the journey. We were glad we had seats! I've changed my mind ...
