... to bed early because my bus was at 8am.

Today: Got up early, tried to wake anyone but I’m sure I did. Got the bus and I was surprisingly wide awake the whole trip, just listening to music the whole way. Oh and I was so appalled with way the bus driver acted in Banff. We stopped there to pick some people up and he said anyone who wants to get out and stretch their legs could do so because we would be stopping for 10 minutes. Then I reckon after about 8 minutes (I listened to ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada ausgal21... beautiful pacific stretching out and the city encircled by mountains - we had heard it was a beautiful city but flying in was amazing seeing the city by the bay, the sky scapers, down town buildings and Vancouver Island all laid out in front of us. The sun shone and it was a great feeling as the 6 of us got of the plane on the West Coast of the ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada otley-groom... it's just that I never got around to it. I'll have to read it again when I get home, this time ignoring the horrid English translations.

It's quite disappointing, because now that I've finally got my Spanish back to a decent level, I'm leaving South America. I guess that's a bit of a problem when traveling with others - I never sought out opportunities to speak Spanish, because I didn't need to. It's a shame really, because with a ...
Calgary, Canada pwongI've just discovered this travel blog tonight after playing Traveller's IQ by travelpod.com and figured it'd be a nice way of keeping everyone posted on my trip to Hong Kong since it seems a lot of people wants to see what I'm up to while I'm away. So here goes... hopefully you can see this through facebook. Well, it's 1am in Calgary, my flight leaves in 5.5hrs, my taxi is coming in less than 3hrs and I have yet to pack for my four week ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada billy.chanThe site just lost my entry. Too tired to re-type. Safe to say Glacier Park is awsome...but less people preferred. Serious ride tomorrow. OK. Updating. The camp aat Flathead Lake provided some good views of the sunset. Larry is building his new house in Bozeman. It is almost finished. I'm now in Jasper, Alberta and heading north. Burning daylight. Got to go.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada sbefera... familiar and set off into the depths of the great unknown. As I sat at the appointed terminal and stared at the strangers who would be accompanying me on my flight to France, I noticed it was mostly filled with elderly couples who I guessed were having one last rendezvous before it was too late. There was a great deal of businessmen dressed in suits with their cell phones attached to their ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada amiedear... Courtneys' house is spectacular! Mountains from the main-level balcony never gets old. They've got 2 friendly (and itchy) cats, and a super-friendly/whiney dog named Chero. So far, just been getting into a new routine; a stark departure from intense studies into a lifestyle of luxury and great hospitality is something I'm not entirely used to. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to getting into a exercise/work routine, but will enjoy the time I get to ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada kawaiguy... backing up and the trailer seems to be lined up just right. That is, from what I can remember from parking it there last August. Then, Worse Nightmare-Part III happened. I was so sure I was lined up properly that I didn't stop and go see behind the trailer as to where it was. I'm making sure the front corner of the trailer doesn't hit the truck (from turning too sharp) when I can't back up anymore. I've hit the overhang on the garage and the eavestroughing ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada cobra1899... really hard to leave Zanzibar. It was such a beautiful place! It is nice though to be back somewhere where I can rinse by toothbrush with tap water, I know what the cab drivers should be charging me, I have more than two outfits to choose from and acess to a washing machine and dryer, and I get to sleep in my own bed. Tomorrow it is back to the real world. Signing off...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada mewPlanning a 40 days and 40 nights trip is not unlike the ledgend of Noah. EVERYTHING INTO THE ARK. In this case the ark is the backpack and not everything is fitting. But we shall persevere and push as hard as we can to STUFF THAT LAST PAIR OF.......in this bag or else!!! The unpacking will be so much more fun.
