I desperately claw at the bag and with one last tug I manage to free it a millisecond before the doors open due to my bag jam... there is no way in hell I'm getting on that subway now after completely humiliating myself so I walk away flustered, I'm so thankful I have my sunglasses on and feel just a bit hidden behind them!
I get on the next subway with no dramas and return to midtown and then walk 15 blocks ...
