... however, yielded a completely different response. He kept saying "We lived accelerated lives...," saying it as if it were the most exciting way to live a life. He felt that, like the rest of his life, his time in the war was another great adventure. What he told us was so strikingly positive and in such contrast to what we were used to hearing, that we weren't sure at first what to make of his answers. We thought he wasn't understanding our ...

      Flying high

... some emails and sorting out meeting reports online (had issues getting it up on evision and then things got hectic in the archives). This is definitely not a very exciting blog. Currently trying to think of ways to improve the level of excitement. No. Nothing. No exciting encounters. The most notable thing is the frozen screen. And that really isn't that important. Then it was time to say goodbye! (You should be proud of me here, ...

It was 10$ each for the day pass but an amazing lady who was working there decided to let us use her guest passes so that we could go in for free. Maybe she smelled us and took pity? The gym was fantastic and we got in a great workout and then nice hot showers. These YMCAs have been so fantastic for ...

      Friars Head

... experience at Friar’s Head, it is imperative that all golfers be committed to play expeditiously. The pace of play for a four-ball shall not exceed 3 hours 45 minutes. One awesome golf course, this place used to be a potato farm (maybe they grew Idaho potatoes), and Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore converted it into a top track. Some really good scores, probably the stay at home night with Lairdy's burgers did the trick. Broughy excelled with 38, Guy, Clavo, ...
