... nozzle while I had a shower under a drizzle of water. We refused to move in until they gave us a light in the bathroom. On the positive side the wifi is free although very touchy and the dinner tonight was delicious. We are becoming accustomed to the food but are turning into vegetarians. In fact it is not really spicy or else we are used to it. Will hopefully send you another blog with the sights of Pelling tomorrow. The snow covered mountains are ...

... inside for a ritual clearly involving only close family, and even the groom started to look a little bored. We were moved around several times to different chairs, eventually finding a couple out the way at the back where we could loiter. We booked a new room in Hotel Garuda and they were fantastic. The food was great, the manager helped us with books and transport and the room was spacious and clean.

We met Phil and Chloe for breakfast and sat chatting for a further 3 hours we seemed to click really well and had soon arranged to walk to Khecheopalri ...

... We are invited to light lamps filled with yak butter "OM MANI PAD ME HUM", humbled, an offering, and back up.

The morning air is heavy, headlamps flicker in the dim of the dawn. Negotiations are made and we make our way to Tiger Hill. The peak if filled with anticipation, cold hands hold hot chai, and vendors exploit the droves of the shivering peddling mitts, hats, and shawls. Watching the sky at two angles, to the ...
