... Springs! Last time I was in Hanmer it was thick snow, which was awesome but will be good to see it in the summer also! We walked to a place called What Ever for a yummy dinner then made our way to the Hanmer Thermal Pools for a nice relaxing evening! This is another site that we look after and once again we were given free entry with free slide pass, which made Sam very happy! We met Matt who works there, from Wolverhampton! In the evening we visited a mexican restaurant called "The Headless Mexican." We thought the food was nice, until ...

... towards that part of the beach, we saw a beautiful area which had some cool rock formations. We parked up for a bit and wandered down on to the beach. John scrambled across the rocks and was off exploring. He thought he saw something moving in the distance, so beckoned me over and we saw some cute little sea-lions there in the distance. We watched them for a bit then decided to head off to wherever our next destination would take us.

... was very nice and just what we needed! There is one attraction in Hamner Springs which is the hot pools / spa centre which boasts some thermal activity underground so with the sun out, we spent the day at the hot pools (3rd time in South Island!!) and had a dip in the various hot pools which included the 42 deg sulphur pool which absolutely stank of rotten eggs. Scott also made me queue up with a heap kids to go on a water slide called the ...
