... and sometimes smell (some were sulphur pools, very stinky!). There was also a lazy river that was a lot of fun :) We realised leaving the hot pools that Devs sunburn from the other day had started to blister slightly. She isn't in too much pain thankfully, but I will keep a close eye on her! Back at the hotel, and boiling our heads off, I made a dinner using up the left over Xmas dinner. We had a really good omelette with Turkey, stuffing, ...
... exploring downtown Hanmer Springs. We stopped at a restaurant called Monteith's for dinner and Jeffrey had the steak special- half a kilo of steak (16.7 ounces!) and potatoes for only $20 (quite a deal here for food!) And he managed to eat the whole thing ;)
We walked back to our hotel and decided to watch a movie that our hotel rents for free. We decided to go with the NZ theme and watched Whale Rider before heading to bed.
... had got sucked in and untied itself. The girls protected Clare's modesty. Returned to our van and had lovely homemade Clare quiche and salads for our meal. Left all the clearing up till tomorrow. Girls went to do toiletries while Tony battled with making two double beds in a very confined space. Poor Clare is on the top bed and her nose is about 6 inches from the roof.......but that's part of the fun. All settled down and I expect we will be awake ...
... and they were a bit of a shaky experience! But after juggling that and our normal jobs, we eventually finished after about 3 weeks, every window in the building except the ones in the suites, and it isn't a small complex! As well as football I've been down to the rugby that's on in the village, not anything major but a bit of a pass around with a few other mainly European lads. It was nice to have a rugby ball back in my hands! The weather is excellent at the minute, ...
