... filled with pandas. This wasn’t right – there were enclosures, fences, and it was a bit like a zoo, which was kind of disappointing. It was a very good zoo to be fair, and the pandas didn’t seem to mind being caged in. I’m not sure what I think about zoos but since it’s partly our fault that pandas are so endangered, I guess we have a duty to help them now.

... Eventually 90years after he died, Buddha was finished and the water was calmed. The locals of course say this was due to the Buddha but more realistically it was probably due to all of the rocks from the carving that filled in holes in the riverbed (Lonely Planet 2013). ... anyway (15p!) and she insisted it would be haoche (delicious), I tentatively took a few bites and concurred it was haoche and bought another one. ... minutes ago, and he is old!!!! Over 50!!!! He doesn't have an accent, but he does have a grey beard. He seems kind of awkward but maybe he is just nervous. He was raised in Iowa but then moved to Nebraska, which explains why he is so strange. Just kidding everyone!!!

... a Chinese airport is a piece of cake compared to using a "squatie" when you have to GO GO GO...if you know what I mean. Don't feel too sorry for me- Chris got it on video :)

Off to the Panda Reserve tomorrow- a full day in Chengdu leaving at 8am and not returning back to any hotel until arriving at our Guilin hotel around midnight. The kids are SO excited about the pandas- apparently you can get right up to them and there I think 75 at the reserve. FUN!!!
