... shared a chicken dish, a fish dish and a tofu dish, along with some pumpkin pancakes. I enjoyed it all but I wasn't blown away. The chicken had an odd smoky burnt flavour to it. I'd try hotpot again (there are a ton of variations) but at the end of the day its meat and veg drowned in chilli oil with yet more chillis in it... and god help us if we had got a hotter version. To be honest, it just made me wish for a really good curry...
