... to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base started at 7.10am and we got to the base about an hour later, just in time for 8.30 feeding. It was a bit of a walk from the entrance to the panda enclosures, through a bamboo lined path. The first enclosure we came to had no pandas in it and when we went round the back there was a panda inside but it was hard to see him. ... length of the narrow staircase was packed shoulder-to-shoulder with Chinese tourists shoving each other out of the way to get the best photo of the Buddha.

Despite the waiting time, the Budda was an amazing site, I can't even imagine the manpower it must have taken to carve such an enormous statue in 700 AD. He's so gigantic that each of his toenails can hold at least 6 people.

So, armed with a Chinese breakfast and Starbucks, it was off to the Base despite the light misting rain to visit the Giant and Red Pandas and to see the myriad of Koi at the lake.

Morning all! So today started off pretty interesting. We went to our International Business class at 830am and the teacher had an english vocab of about 4 words. haha the teacher last week spoke pretty good english, he set up the class so that other professors would come in and teach in their area of expertise.
