When did it all start? When I was 6 I went on my first vacation, but my love for traveling didn't bloom until I got into the 7th grade and went to Chicago for the first time.

I have family there, so trips to Chicago are frequent ...

Well there are three full days before I drive to Trav. City to catch my excape back to Cal. In the past two day the biggest event is my getting a new bottle of Balsamic vinegar oh and the sun coming out today. So unless something mind blowing happens, this is most likely the last entry :- [

Sunday 7/26

These dates seem so like a countdown. Up early, into town and into Cops and Donuts, what a trip not to be had so early in ...

... but shy me, oh well that's two now. Did an ice cream and e-mail recheck [nine ads] and then back to Farwell to a wait setup time. Took in the "parade" [about 35 people], setup the craft space and then we all headed to Midland [30 miles] for Italian [there being no worthy eating places closer], so, so. The End!

Saturday 7/25

Its Craft Day with chicken tossing ...

So we drove and drove and I did see about three crapers I will return to make images but for the time used the day was long. It took about 4 hours to get to Frankenmuth (a 1.5 hour drive normally) but my navigator [who helped open the west] seems to have lost his touch and it was more like wrong way Day. The weather was cool, not cold, but with light to moderate rain [in Calif ...

... sweet cherries etc. Returned my brother and headed back to work out. Just got in the gym when the skies opened up for about ½ hour and then continued as just a Michigan light rain. Returned to da casa for limburger, crackers, jalapeño bread and wine = supper, oh and a slice of rhubarb pie. Sun came out but the forecast is for more rain tomorrow. 1/2 hour of AFV [barf] and its Guten Nacht until morgan.

Thurs. 7/23

Its 8:30am and here I am ...

... will not be in business long (confirmed by the owners). A fantastic space that belongs in the OC or San Fran. Two woman acquired the historic brick two story building about three years ago and set about physically restoring it on the outside and converting it on the inside. I will have to make a picture of it. Is warm and modern at once. Warm refinished brick walls, modern wall treatments and built-ins with tables and setting ...

... the drain job and now have no projects, but may push the irragation thing. Went into town for more shopping, had to get pastys to eat, not ware. Discovered McDs has wi-fi so here I am and its now in the 50s. Forcast is for more of the same weather tomarrow but then clearing to nice on Monday. Tomarrow it the Harrision street fest, Sun the Alpine fest at I forgot where and Monday is to far away. Anyway thats it for now.

... have a friend like Claudia. I am also excited to meet my Irish relatives following the tour. I have been in contact with my cousin who I will be staying a few days with and to visit the farm where my great-grandfather Kenny emigrated to the US from. I had better get packing -- don't forget the umbrella.

... Pancho and Corinne, as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen, took off in the backs of antique cars rented for the occasion. Groomsmen rode with bridesmaids. Except for "Pancho's Friend 6" and "Pancho's Friend 5." We'd both lost the coveted Traci sweepstakes on this one. Her German boyfriend, Marton, had won actually. Darn Germans! ...
