Green Park Hyderabad

... so far.....There were probably around 100 people there and it was quite a grand affair...It was very fun as we got to hang with the people we met and also attend a nice big indian party....Sara was extremely well dressed I must say...She wore a very nice purple sari she bought in Chennai (aka Madras)<br><br>So much for Hyderabad....fun times, great hotel, nice people and good sites.....off to Bangalore...<br><br>

... the trip......beautiful toombs w/o any tourist rush and very nicely constructed. they were of the 7 nizams who had ruled hyderabad in the past.....<br><br>5. avoid street food: it was tough but i could not partake in street food. our friends took us to a chat place which served "the best street food", however, massive diarrhea was not my travel itinerary....<br><br>well i gotta run, but will blog when i get the chance in a bit!!!<br><br>sumeeth<br>

... there was loads to see and do, we only wish we had longer! Whilst here we have, or i have (Helen's been hiding in the hotel room for part of it, hiding away from the heat!): *Been on a boat trip to see one of the largest freestanding Buddha's in the world (it was randomly plonked in the middle of a lake) *Experienced our first 3d film! It was fab and the best way to avoid the afternoon heat. We also visited a haunted house, a scary mirror thing ...

... them vegetable biriyani and other dishes. The amazing part was when the girls launched into a prayer/song once all of them had been served where they essentially gave thanks for the food, their teaches, their school and their fellow classmates. Even though it was in Telegu and I didn't understand a single word, it was still very cool...and I captured it all on video...and then I accidentally lost the video...DOH! I felt ...

... And that Westerners are considered rude because they brush past the locals without looking or responding. As I was contemplating this a young boy came from out of the crowd and grabbed me by the wrist. He was wanting me to come into his father's shop and was pulling me with all his weight. I pulled back but he had a good grip and wouldn't let go. I raised my voice telling him to back off. He continued to pull until one of the shop owners could see my distress and said ...
