Chang Mai or is it Chiang Mai???
... I guess cos it's in land and a city...but it's so much smaller and in the countryside...the main road was rammed with traffic and mental with cars, tuk tuks and scooters galore, but down the middle was a water way thing with fountains in which is nice!!! Amazing street stalls, I am looking forward to exploring more after the trek....the woman in the travel place did give me a Chang mai map ...

Day 4: Today we went to Patara Elephant Camp. It's ...
Sweating, more sweating, neon snakes and stupas
... resist the lure of the subcontinent and had aloo matar, chapatis and raita...mmmm. As most young children do, Sam adored R, even giving him one of his prized mentoes (the highest possible honour, apparently!). At the end of the evening, we headed home on our shiny new bikes, stopped at the 7 11 ( how I love them!!) and watched 'Finding Neverland' on TV, revelling in the comfy bed and flat screen TV for the last time in what would probably be weeks. The golden triangle was calling!!

The Eye of the Tiger
... would this happen in the UK?! Walking into a pen with tigers just seems wrong. To me it would be like walking to the top of a skyscraper, going out to look at the view and there being no rail to stop you falling off. Outrageous. Nonetheless, we got tickets to go into the enclosure with the big tigers.
As our allotted time drew nearer, my heart was genuinely pounding.
The fence opened very quickly and we went ...
