... for fishing, and several men were doing that today. I spoke to two chaps, one was reeling in a fish, a Mirror Carp, which estimated to be 12 lbs., see photos. Once caught it is released back into the lake to be tempted by someones bait again and again. Carp is the main fish here. (Doesn't seem to be destructive like the European Carp in Australia) According to the notice board catches have been as great as 500 lbs! Fishing competitions are ...

All the entries for the last week have been updated, I've been busy writing the diary entries each evening in Cornwall so there's plenty to read from last Friday onwards as well as more photos uploaded from Cornwall.

We had ...

Saturday we were up bright and early, having arranged to meet Vince and Tony in Northumberland Avenue in a café for breakfast. Coincidentally it was across the road from the Citadines where we stayed in 2004 thanks to a good staff discount from NZ Defence, and not far from New Zealand House which we visited and got to go up to their rooftop entertaining area which has a 360 degree view of London – amazing.

    And in line with ...

    Twickenham and the West End

First stop after a leisurely breakfast with Janey and Jeremy was Twickenham, only a short drive away from Hampton and a stadium tour was Jen's birthday present to Pete so he was pretty happy about that! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the dressing rooms or royal box and corporate areas because of upgrades happening so instead they reduced the price and gave him a book about 100 Years of Twickenham and a history of the 5/6 Nations ...
