... then many! I stood transfixed as I always do when snow falls!

The irony for me is that we had a mini holiday booked and I knew that even though I'd be waking to the wonder of settled snow, I'd have to walk through it and get on a train which would take me away from it!!!! But I enjoyed it while I could. I couldn't sleep much, kept hopping up to look out the window...and woke early to get ready to meander through the villages.

I can only cross my fingers for more :) ...

This was a quiet Sunday morning though not really intended to be so. We took a bus to Hyde Park which was great, a double-decker so we could see lots: buildings, shops, gardens, people……… but it was well and truly held up by traffic snarls due to an enormous charity fun run/walk involving lots of different causes, and in the end the bus stopped and we changed to another which took a different direction to Hyde Park. We had ...

Saturday we were up bright and early, having arranged to meet Vince and Tony in Northumberland Avenue in a café for breakfast. Coincidentally it was across the road from the Citadines where we stayed in 2004 thanks to a good staff discount from NZ Defence, and not far from New Zealand House which we visited and got to go up to their rooftop entertaining area which has a 360 degree view of London – amazing.

      And in line with ...
