This was a quiet Sunday morning though not really intended to be so. We took a bus to Hyde Park which was great, a double-decker so we could see lots: buildings, shops, gardens, people……… but it was well and truly held up by traffic snarls due to an enormous charity fun run/walk involving lots of different causes, and in the end the bus stopped and we changed to another which took a different direction to Hyde Park. Saturday we were up bright and early, having arranged to meet Vince and Tony in Northumberland Avenue in a café for breakfast. Coincidentally it was across the road from the Citadines where we stayed in 2004 thanks to a good staff discount from NZ Defence, and not far from New Zealand House which we visited and got to go up to their rooftop entertaining area which has a 360 degree view of London – amazing.

First stop after a leisurely breakfast with Janey and Jeremy was Twickenham, only a short drive away from Hampton and a stadium tour was Jen's birthday present to Pete so he was pretty happy about that! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the dressing rooms or royal box and corporate areas because of upgrades happening so instead they reduced the price and gave him a book about 100 Years of Twickenham and a history of the 5/6 Nations ...
... I hear you cry! The first that springs to mind is avoiding some of the British Autumn #typicalBrit. I am also looking forward to answering some of these earlier questions! Most of all, I am looking forward to getting well and truly stuck in on the project. I have a feeling the project, and the people I work with on it, will probably make the trip.
