Back in the capital of Kunming, the contrast with Shangri-la is drastic. There are flowers aplenty here too, but in Kunming they are arranged such that not one is out of place. It was a chance to pick up some outdoor gear at the shopping mall, a chance to eat fabulous Yunnan cuisine in the streets.
