Sorry for the title, but there really Is no other words for it...I'll explain some more below.... Today we leave Rome, and head up to Venice via Verona. We leave at 8am for our big driving day. We had a short stop in Verona to check out another Coliseum which was the 3rd largest in the Roman Empire. They still use this arena for rock concerts and festivals which is pretty cool. ... It is still hot with black sky looming above us, rain has ceased. Its about 3:00pm.
We don't have much time to get across town for Row Venice. Quick change of clothes, sensible shoes, rain proof poncho, hat, BAC, and we are off.
Steve has his trusty map which is actually laminated. In the morning he used a highlighter to mark his fool proof journey. We open it and because it rained in the morning, the map is now a smudged yellow, Great. ...
It certainly took a long time to get to Venice, almost 20 hours of flying (and it seemed even long with two young children!!) But I have to say flying with Qatar was very good, the service was great, the plane was pretty new and comfortable, and the food was lovely. Isabelle & Zac were very good in the plane, they were impressed with their special toys ...
... waiting for! My hospital roomies were quite a joy... 3 old ladies in diapers... I felt really out of Place. This was the first time I've been surrounded by people all speaking Italian, which as a very weird experience. I tried to smile at the lady lying across from me but she just stared at me constantly. Very strange... I finally received a small in return as we left this morning. My other roommate ******/******* herself in her sleep this ...
