... for about half an hour, mostly people watching which is easy to do here as there are so many of them. I decided I best get on my way so I went back to my hotel and got my luggage. And oh my god....the amount of people on the train is crazy. If you have time - 'You Tube' Japan trains. There are clips of people ( and this is 100% real! ) that are hired to push and shoulder barge and shove people on to the train, so the doors will close. We thought it was a myth until we saw it for ourselves. They literally come up and shove people ...

... must have looked strange to some guests seeing me only wearing a t-shirt and underpants since both pairs of pants were being washed) and cleaning out my bag of all the brochures, tickets and other stuff. ... exhausted. Another 10 hours of sleep probably wouldn't have gone astray for any of us, especially if we knew what fun we'd face traveling home.

Morning coffee time had spilled over into the afternoon due to our late exit from the hotel. I'm certainly going to miss the fantastic Starbucks caramel machiato's.
Whenever I mention drinking Starbucks coffee, I'm almost universally mocked by whoever I'm speaking to, but honestly, Starbucks in Japan ...

... and costs regular ticket-holders $27, but it's free for me since I have the pass. The local train makes the same trip in 25 minutes and costs $5. At a train platform at the Shin-Osaka station, I see a neatly posted train schedule in English with the train numbers, departure times, and even the track number. Then on to the local train to Kusatsu. As I leave the train, a Japanese man asks where I'm going, just in case I need help. ...
