Canary Islands
This summer I went to the Canary Islands with my friends. We did a lot of things there; we went to the swimming pool, partying, to the dune beach, and to the aqua park party...
Also, one day we went to one beach where there were a lot of water sports and we practised the motorskying, parasailing and a los of things.
Finally we come back to Spain with hangovers and our bodies very pained becouse we fell many ...

The atmosphere here is one of excitement and anticipation. We can’t wait to get started!

Please send us your comments via the blog as it is always great to messages coming in as we go along.

Gran Canaria
Madeira to Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria
... filled the sails and the trip was done entirely by motor. But the seas were calm, beautiful and brimming with life. Over the three days we enjoyed indian cuisine, attempted at fresh fish and conversations covered a wealth of topics. We saw the odd turtle enjoying the sunshine and a beautiful and lively pod of 12 dolphins came to dance in the bow wave. In the distance we saw the blow hole signs of whales, the tail up the air display and the odd riding fin.

Off the Coast of the Sahara
Sunday – August 19 – Los Palmas de Grand Canary – Canary Islands, Spain
We docked at Los Palmas at 7. The Canary Islands are the southern most point of the EU. They have been part of Spain since the late 15th Century. Columbus stopped here 4 times on his various voyages to the New World. We are at the same latitude as the Sahara Desert – the southern end of Morocco where ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Cordial Green Golf Maspalomas
Spectacular !
Review possibly a bit late but nevertheless stayed at Green Golf at April of this year, it was superb, the apartment, the setting, the staff, it was faultless.
We found it to be very clean and tidy, room service was on a daily basis, cleaned to a high standard, although facilities pretty basic, were we not meant to spend our time out on that glorious beach of Maspalomas ?.
I would highly recomend Green Golf and look forwards to my next visit there.
Lovely
Lovely apartments, very clean and well equipped. Complex also clean and very well maintained with lovely garden areas. Pools lovely and plenty of sunbeds available. Bar staff work very hard and are very friendly and efficient. Well stocked shop which is useful and only a five min walk to Faro 2 shopping centre where there are lots of lovely restaurants. Playa des Ingles close - only couple of euros in taxi. Would recommend going camel riding - lovely way to see the beautiful sand dunes!! Just a word of warning - keep windows and doors shut and locked at night - couple of break ins when i was there
Disappointing
Well the entrance of the Green Golf apartments was a little disappointing, overlooking a big empty barren gravel wasteland.
The apartment was ok, but there was paint hanging down from the ceiling and 3 days into the holiday, we had a powercut (which we were never informed about dispite our rep telling us they should have the day before), meaning that 30 Euros of food in the freezer and the fridge went to waste. Also we couldn't get any money out of our safe for a whole day as a result and our fan wouldn't work. No apology was offered as the woman behind reception said everywhere in the area had a powercut. The reception staff were rude, as were the bar staff, who kept us waiting for 15 minutes at the bar (even when I was the only one there) before I could get a drink. They even grumbled when I asked if I could be served. I will definitely not be staying here again.
Brilliant
My daughter and I stayed in Sandy golf bungalows , sister of Green golf. we had a brilliant time. so relaxing at apts and lively in Playa Del Ingles, just a short, inexpensive drive away. there was no music at the pool bar, it was all so laid back, everything a holiday should be. As my daughter is only 12 I was concerned about the security in the complex, I need not have worried, the main gate was locked at 12 midnight and could only be accessed by key.
New owners do not keep up old values
We have just returned from a months holiday at green golf in canaria.
we had a month to take in our 30th anniversary and my 50th birthday, and as we have been to green golf for the past four years and had a great stay we thought we would go back. whilst the staff at the resort were as usual very good and helpful the new cordial management have made some cut backs. The heated pool wasnt, we only had one change of sheets for the whole month, and the general maintenance of the bungalows is very poor. Whilst these seem small issues and did not stop us enjoying gran canaria as a whole we will think hard as to whether we go back to green golf. Faro 2 also seems to be closing down lots of the shops were closed and there was a noticeable lack of tourists walking around the complex.
Best holiday yet
visited green golf in May 2003 absolutely brilliant holiday clean, equiped, friendly staff and beautiful area pool and restaurant perfectly cited and maintained look forward to visiting again
Excellent place!!
the second time we have visited and it hasnt changed in 3 years, still a great place for a relaxing holiday, peaceful and play del ingles is only a short distance away if you fancy a more lively evening out. Very Clean, Staff very helpful, overall a good base to stay to get the best of everything.
Fantastic
Me and my other half stayed at the GREEN GOLF APTS in Gran Canaria. They are absolutely wonderful, the pools are gorgeous. I would reccommend goig self-catering because there are so many bars and restaurants in a big complex just over the road. There is a free bus which takes you to the beach which is every hour. Its so relaxed in the apts and lively in the evening. There are nightly shows at the apts if you are on all-inclusive but i dont think the food is too good. The Sand Dunes are lovely but dont walk to far down cos you may get a nice suprise of 100s of naked people on the nudist beach. Overall the best holiday i have had yet - fantastic.
Great relaxing place to stay
Had a great week here with friends. Lovely apartments, well equiped if you are thinking of cooking. Nice staff, beautiful gardens - very well looked after, lovely swimming pools (bit chilly as heating gets switched off at the end of March). Only ate in the restaurant once and the food was good.Nearby is Faro 2 shopping centre with restaurants and bars - We had mexican, italian and chinese all of which were very good. Cocktail bars are lethal but good fun and the waiters keep you entertained.Went to a fantastic restaurant in Playa des Ingles called El Gaucho (I think!) steakhouse. The food was excellent and the staff really made our evening as they were utterly charming. Also live singing here which was great. Well worth a visit!Lovely week had by all!
Excellent overall
Got home less than 12 hours ago, Great overall holiday the food in the restraunt in the hotel not great but cabs were so cheap u can get about.
