Back to reality in the central library, it's interesting to see how people in Sheffield are coping with the technological revolution. There's a steady stream of people, probably with no computer access at home, coming here to use the internet. Some of them ask the staff to assist them with various things. Day 9
... around Meadowhall - again. After my fairly unsuccessful outing on Friday, I decide to give it another try. I hate shopping at the best of times, and late-night shopping until 11 pm a couple of weeks before Christmas is not my idea of fun. The only bright spot of the entire evening is a brass band (maybe a former colliery band?) playing Christmas carols. Don't even like Christmas but they still manage to bring a lump to my throat.
