On August 26th we arrived in Colorado, one of my favorite states in the USA. Shortly afterwards we went up to Rocky Mountain National Park which has snow covered mountains even in the summer time.
Up at 4am. Picked up labor, Wayne and Arthur at 5am. We learned later that Wayne and airy her we not the guys that labor ready sent...they were just guys that happened to be in front of labor ready at 5am hoping for work. Drove 3 hours to Edwards. Drove through vale... Reached 9500 ft! Beautiful drive! Jp and the guys delivered then we drove back to Denver. We got stopped at a weigh station. Jp says the dot guy said that he stopped us because he saw me ...

Hunter and Colby went back on several times since the rain sent everyone running for the hills and there were no lines. We were all soaked ...
What a day! First on the list was the Stanley Hotel. We took the tour and found out the hotel was where Stephen King was inspired to write The Shining, but none of the movie was filmed there. We got to see a few of the main rooms and learned about the twin brothers who built the hotel in 1907. It's supposedly haunted by several ghosts, and Jim Carrey was freaked out by the room he was in and left the hotel in the middle of the night.
