... Even though not a popular tourist spot, it is known for its fantastic views of the valley and the lake, set amidst tea fields and a lot of small tribal villages.

We also visited the Emerald Dam, situated in the middle of the Valley, that houses all the beauty within. Silent, secluded, yet spectacular, we enjoyed the landscapes a lot and captured every moment in our memory for ever.

When we arrived at the train station in Mettupayalam it was POURING down rain - so hard that I could hardly see the station from the car, which was parked in a parking lot across the street from the station. (Due to the way the station is set up, it is not possible to drive the car right up to the station.)
