... that is not widespread in India due to their strict licensing laws. So we went a had an afternoon drink. After a glass of wine we were starting to feel peckish, we had passed a nice looking restaurant on the way and after consulting the guide book it described the dining room “swimming with atmosphere” so we went and enquired what time the restaurant and bar were open. ... Hills, we got home with sore legs and full tummy after having a yummy Thali at one of the small villages just after 4pm.

... they make most of their living from picking pockets rather than begging. Real beggars usually try to make eye contact - in order to gain your sympathy. Pickpockets, however, focus their eyes on - yep, you guessed it - your pockets! And this little kid never once looked at my eyes. When he started making his move for me I shouted at him and let him know that I was on to him.
