Took the bus from Guilin to Nanning, a five hour bus journey. The scenery was lovely and they provided us with water and a little brioche loaf for the journey. One toilet stop. Not another European on the bus, all Chinese! We managed to buy our bus tickets for the journey to Hanoi tomorrow and found the hotel by the bus station. No one speaks English. A Boring End To A Brilliant Country

Returning to my hotel, I spent what remained of the day trying to be productive and doing some travel admin, keen to see the following day when I would begin my journey into Vietnam.
