We get to te airport excited to leave and have to wait to check in. I use every bathroom in the terminal and Marlin got felt up by the cleaning lady who would make a pass every 10 minutes to get a look at him. There was poking and patting. We were at the check-in counter and we asked to have our bags checked all the way through to Melbourne. "No!" Is what we got. Okay lady, we are flying through Hong Kong " no!" The Chinese have that phrase down pat! We get our boarding passes ...

We are getting so excited. This morning Marlin updated our itinerary and we started making lists...I love LISTS!! We fly out Wednesday afternoon, so I have some time to get last minute things if necessary! Our trip is 16 days that will include 6 tours, 8 flights, 9 hotels, 1 rental car, one ferry ride and a lifetime of memories! We hope you enjoy our trip as much as we will! I will post when I get wifi as we will only have one phone working while there. Cheers! ~ Marlin and ...

Maybe it was the street food, maybe the weird Coke at Subway in the airport, maybe the McFireSpicy - flames were shooting out of me last night. Aren't glad you I share EVERYTHING on this blog?? ...

... possible. We looked forward to the following day when we would travel through the scenic and famous three gorges. We were not disappointed! Everyone gathered outside on the roof deck with cameras ready. The first gorge is known as Qutang, and the steep walled canyons are featured on the 10 RMB note. It is only 8 km long with a very narrow passage. It felt like we were going through a wind tunnel! We continued on to the second gorge, the Wu Gorge, where we docked, and ...

After a night of thunderstorms, we woke up, ate and boarded the bus to the airport. Unfortunately my back decided to go into spasms so it was time for the pain pills. Everyone was super nice with Terry toting my backpack and Juan toting my luggage. Our plane was delayed for 30 minutes but at last we boarded. This time I had the window and Terry was in the middle. I knew it was going to be rough when the guy behind me ...
